Our Team
Urjeevi SPARK is a real-world science learning initiative thoughtfully curated by Dr. Kavita Kiran Prasad and a dedicated team of scientists and IIT alumni at Urjeevi Labs (based at IIT Bombay).

Our programs are shaped through real classroom interactions and hands-on workshops, where children don’t just learn scientific concepts — they understand how those concepts shape the world around them. Every experience is built with clarity, scientific depth, and a deep respect for a child’s natural curiosity, focus, and overall wellbeing.

Rooted in strong STEM principles, Urjeevi SPARK emphasizes foundational thinking, problem-solving, and applied understanding — helping young minds connect science to everyday life with confidence and curiosity.
The word “Urjeevi” is derived from the Sanskrit roots Urja (Energy) and Jeevan (Life). Urjeevi SPARK reflects our vision to ignite a lasting spark in young minds — bringing life to their energy at a foundational level and nurturing the scientist within.

Our Story
From Applied Technology to Foundational Learning
Urjeevi Labs began by working closely with applied technologies, real-world systems, and institutions. We spent years developing cleantech solutions, AI/ML enabled smart IoT systems and sustainable methodologies for STEM foundations.

However, building the technology of tomorrow revealed a critical truth about today. We realized the real challenge was not a lack of tools or innovation, but weakened educational foundations. That is why we started with Science—the core of all STEM disciplines.
True problem-solving requires more than memorizing formulas—it requires the ability to observe carefully, question deeply, and connect ideas.
We asked ourselves: What if meaningful change begins earlier—at the level of learning itself?
Urjeevi SPARK grew from this very question.
Our Journey
2023 — Foundations
Started at SINE, IIT Bombay with Pre-Incubation
A small desk, a drawer, and a big dream — where Urjeevi Labs began.
In-house R&D: Conducted Hands-on Workshops
It started step by step — designing systems from scratch and learning through every build. Soon, we began creating spaces where others could build too. Through hands-on workshops at universities, we shared our journey and insights, and the overwhelming response from students and faculty reaffirmed why we do what we do.
IOE Grant – IIT Bombay
Our first major support, helping us turn an idea into a working proof of concept.
Selected for Mahindra RISE Program
Early mentorship that shaped our understanding of customer needs and problem discovery.
